Toronto FC hosts Philadelphia in first MLS game on grass at BMO Field

TORONTO — Toronto FC has set a date for its first game on grass at BMO Field.

Toronto will host the expansion Philadelphia Union in its 2010 homer-opener on April 17, a later date than usual due to the installation of a grass pitch.

Toronto opens the season March 27 against the Crew in Columbus, followed by an April 10 game in New England against the Revolution.
